TutorsLit Policies

These Terms explain the rules for using TutorsLit websites, learning tips, educational content, applications, and related services.

Effective date: June 11, 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

These (“Terms”) apply when you visit or use websites, pages, learning tips, videos, instructional resources, applications, interactive activities, communications, or other services made available by TutorsLit (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you use the Services on behalf of a school, district, organization, company, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that entity. Additional written agreements may also apply. If these Terms conflict with a separate signed agreement, the separate signed agreement controls for that relationship.

2. Educational Purpose

TutorsLit provides educational content, tutor-led instruction, learning tips, practice activities, feedback tools, and related resources. The Services are designed to support learning and instruction, but they do not replace a teacher, parent, tutor, school, professional judgment, or individualized educational plan.

We work to make content useful, accurate, and age-appropriate, but educational outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. TutorsLit does not guarantee any particular academic result, grade, score, placement, certification, or performance improvement.

3. Eligibility and Student Use

The Services may be used by adults, educators, parents, schools, organizations, and students. Students should use the Services only with permission and supervision from a parent, guardian, teacher, school, or other authorized adult when required.

If you are under the age of majority in your location, you may use the Services only with permission from a parent, guardian, school, or other authorized adult. If you are responsible for student use, you agree to use the Services in a way that complies with applicable school policies, privacy rules, and laws.

4. Accounts and Access

Some portions of the Services may require an account, login, subscription, invitation, or other approved access. You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for activity that occurs through your account or access credentials.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating or managing an account and to notify TutorsLit if you believe account credentials have been lost, stolen, or used without permission.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Services. For example, you may not:

  • use the Services for unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or deceptive activity;
  • attempt to interfere with, disable, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass the security of the Services;
  • upload or transmit malware, harmful code, spam, or content that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • copy, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Services except as expressly allowed by TutorsLit in writing;
  • use the Services to collect information about others without appropriate permission; or
  • submit confidential, highly sensitive, or regulated information unless TutorsLit has expressly authorized that use in writing.

6. User Content and Student Work

Users may submit responses, writing, recordings, answers, comments, files, or other materials through the Services (“User Content”). You keep ownership of User Content you submit, subject to any rights held by your school, organization, or other third party.

By submitting User Content, you give TutorsLit permission to host, process, display, transmit, store, analyze, and otherwise use that content as needed to provide, secure, support, maintain, and improve the Services. You are responsible for making sure you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content.

7. AI-Assisted Features

Some Services may use artificial intelligence, automation, or other technology to generate feedback, suggestions, summaries, practice responses, speech, video, or other instructional support. AI-assisted outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for a particular learner or situation.

Educators, parents, guardians, and users should review AI-assisted outputs before relying on them for important decisions. AI feedback should be treated as instructional support, not as the sole basis for grades, placement, discipline, eligibility, or other high-impact decisions.

8. TutorsLit Content and Intellectual Property

The Services, including videos, learning tips, lessons, images, designs, software, text, names, logos, graphics, interfaces, and other materials, are owned by TutorsLit or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property and other laws.

Unless TutorsLit gives written permission, you may not copy, modify, publish, distribute, sell, lease, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit TutorsLit content outside normal use of the Services.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, platforms, tools, video hosts, analytics services, app stores, or communication services. TutorsLit does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their content, policies, availability, or practices.

Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies from those providers.

10. Fees, Subscriptions, and Separate Agreements

Some Services may be free, while others may require payment, a subscription, pilot agreement, school agreement, purchase order, or other written arrangement. Any pricing, billing, cancellation, renewal, or refund terms will be provided separately when applicable.

11. Privacy

Privacy matters, especially in educational settings. TutorsLit may collect, use, store, or process information as needed to provide and improve the Services, respond to inquiries, support accounts, operate websites, and protect users and systems.

When student information is involved, schools, parents, guardians, and organizations should use the Services only in ways that are authorized and appropriate for their roles. Additional privacy notices, school agreements, data processing terms, or consent requirements may apply depending on the Services used and the users involved.

12. Availability and Changes to the Services

We may update, modify, suspend, discontinue, or limit access to any part of the Services at any time. We may also update content, features, eligibility, technical requirements, and access methods as the Services evolve.

13. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, TutorsLit disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TutorsLit and its owners, employees, contractors, partners, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, academic outcomes, or similar losses arising from or related to the Services.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the limitations above may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold TutorsLit harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, violation of another person’s rights, or User Content you submit.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if we believe a user has violated these Terms, created risk for other users, infringed rights, violated law, or used the Services in a way that could harm TutorsLit, users, systems, or partners.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Services after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Contact
